The Prayer Request

The Prayer Request
It’s just a simple half sheet of paper but it represents the power of God for the women at CWJC. Every Bible study hour starts with the students writing their prayer requests for the week. These prayer requests are important to them because they know that a special group of women and men pray over their petitions weekly.

Sometimes the prayer request is for illness. Sometimes it is for material things. But most often it is for God to help them realize a special purpose in their lives by allowing them to get their GEDs, to become better parents, to improve their family relationships, and to help others.

Just like we repeat our prayer requests, we also repeat our goals at CWJC. It’s a real step of faith every time a woman tells the rest of the group where God is leading her.

And here’s the thing - in every Bible study class is a soon-to-be nurse, college student, counselor, promotion-bound employee, and mentor to someone else.
