In October of 2006, the Williamson County site of CWJC of Middle Tennessee began with 17 students and five volunteers. In the last five years, we have watched as God has taken us on an incredible journey. He has grown this ministry by providing volunteers and people to make a difference in the lives of the students who come to better themselves and their families. Today we serve over 40 students and 25 children, and have the support of the churches and volunteers in the area to ensure that CWJC in Williamson County will succeed. We have served well over 100 students in the last five years and watched 20 people accept Christ as their Savior. I love the work that God is doing in this ministry.
CWJC’s mission is to empower individuals to break harmful cycles caused by poverty, by providing education, mentoring, and resources. I watched this mission come alive right before my eyes, and God sent the wonderful people that need to be involved to ensure that we will see positive changes in the lives of our students. I would love to take this time to thank all the volunteers at the Williamson County site for your commitment and tireless effort in teaching and mentoring the students. I also give a huge thank you for the childcare volunteers, for loving on these students’ children. I hope you know that you are making a huge difference, because without you most of the parents would not be able to attend class. A big challenge any ministry has is obtaining a place to live out their mission. God provided us a place with Walker Baptist Church on Main Street. CWJC and the students who have been impacted by this ministry want to take this time to thank the following people from our hearts: Mitchell Karnes, Andy Wolverington, and the congregation of Walker Baptist for opening your doors and hearts to CWJC of Middle Tennessee. Because of you, we are making a difference in God’s Kingdom.
