Dreams…Gifts Unopened

“I didn’t know I could dream,” a CWJC student tentatively shared. To dream is a gift bursting with possibility.

After hearing this statement read during a CWJC’s Spring event committee meeting, those attending knew the theme for this year’s event: “Dreams…Gifts Unopened”. The committee, chaired by Susan Barnett, met faithfully each month for one year and created a wonderful evening event to be held on April 7, 2011 at Brentwood Baptist Church.

This year’s Honorary Chair is Mary Clement, longtime Nashvillian and Tennessee Director of Consumer Affairs during the Bredesen Administration. The event will feature women from CWJC in the evening’s program.

This fundraising event will provide scholarships for 89, or one-third, of our students to participate in CWJC’s GED, ESL, Bible Study, and Job/Life Skills programs at all three satellites.

People have the ability to imagine a more abundant future, to hope for that future and to take proactive steps to create that future. This year’s Event Committee has spread this message all across Middle Tennessee. Reminding individuals who are struggling to overcome obstacles blocking their dreams that they can experience a brighter future, as they unwrap and reach their dreams!
